It's been a while since SE had successfully evoked nostalgia out of something that looked so modern. What little they picked into this had unexpected depth and attention to detail, but on the right stuff, finally. I can't believe I'm saying this but, it was sheer quality and polish. I wasn't looking forward to this nor was I following its development news.īut the positive reactions made me super curious so I tried the demo. And finally, the news about Remake being broken into parts turned me off completely. I thought the previous compilation of FF7 games were awful cash-grabs (Crisis Core gets a pass, barely). It's been years since I purchased an SE game and was eager to play it start to finish. It's been years since I've looked forward to an SE game and a FF at that.
